The artwork explores an idea deeply embedded in Indian philosophical thought: what appears as two may ultimately be one. Shiva and Ganesha are distinct forms, each carrying their own stories, qualities, and symbolism. Yet beneath those forms lies the same infinite reality: different expressions of a consciousness that is ultimately indivisible.

The Stillness Behind the Form

Shiva appears here not as the fierce destroyer or the cosmic dancer, but in his sublime meditative form: quiet, still, almost emerging from the space around Ganesha.

Ganesha occupies the foreground with warmth and presence. Shiva rests behind him in stillness.

Together, they create a visual rhythm between movement and silence, form and formlessness, the personal and the infinite.

It is an image intended to do more than decorate a room. Its quiet composition invites the eye to settle, the mind to slow, and the space around it to acquire a sense of spiritual calm.

Into Infinity

Infinity is becoming a signature of PUNA's visual language.

First explored in our interpretations of Vishnu and Shiva, the infinity form represents that which has no beginning or end; continuity, interconnectedness, and the eternal consciousness underlying existence.

In this artwork, the merging of Ganesha and Shiva echoes that same idea. Their silhouettes seem to flow into one another, suggesting that the distinction between forms is ultimately temporary.
