Our Story
India is a beautiful anomaly. It is one of the world’s oldest, only continuous living civilizations—wrapped in a rich historical tapestry and globally celebrated for its timeless handicrafts. Everyone knows this story. Everyone recognizes this legacy.
But it made us wonder: Is India trapped in her past glory? Is our identity permanently confined to nostalgia, cliches, and stereotypes?
Where is the thread that connects our ancient soul to the contemporary world? What is the quiet, modern power of India that carries our uniqueness forward into everyday life? We looked for an online space that answered these questions with sophistication and depth. We couldn't find one. So, we decided to build it.
The Genesis of Puna
In 2025, we left the glare of the corporate world behind to align our lives with a deeper purpose. We weren't driven by a corporate ledger; we were driven by a legacy. We set out to explore a completely unchartered path: to not just create "Indian products," but to present a unique, modern India through everyday objects.
What’s in a Name?
Puna borrows deeply from the ancient Sanskrit word Punah, which means again, once more, or repeat. It signifies a civilization reborn and reinventing herself. It is also an intimate celebration of our foundation, intertwining the first two letters of our names: Puja and Nanda.
We envisioned puna.world not as a digital gift shop, but as a global gateway. It is a curated sanctuary for the globally curious and the genuinely enchanted—a space completely stripped of cliches, where functional, high-end design tells the story of a culture reborn.
Meet the Founders
Puna is the coming together of two distinct life paths, bound by a shared commitment to honesty, dedication, and slow, intentional luxury. Based out of the green, subdued urban canopies of Bengaluru, we bring decades of end-to-end industry mastery to this craft.

Our Philosophy: Earthy, Rustic Luxury
We believe that true luxury lies in restraint, authenticity, and the stories embedded within raw materials. Our aesthetic is grounded in a subdued contemporary lifestyle—inspired by the earthy terracotta, exposed bricks, raw concrete, and biophilic design of our home city.
- Stripped of Cliches: We actively bypass the over-embellished stereotypes of Indian design to focus on minimalist, functional sophistication.
- A Contribution to the World: We are in this to lead a life well-lived and to make India a brilliant, elegant contribution to the modern global home—just as she always has been.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Welcome to a unique India.
Welcome to Puna.
